Scheduled outages planned for June 2-3
06/01/2009   Outages necessary for construction crews to make power line upgrades and improvements


CULLMAN — Cullman Electric Cooperative has several planned power outages scheduled for June 2-3, 2009, in order to make improvements and upgrades on some power lines.

The first outage, scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. on June 2, will be along Highway 69, starting at Knight’s Old Store on County Road 8 and going south to County Road 223. Areas that will be affected include Misty Harbor, Crystal Cove, Cullman County Landfill and Pullum Hollow. All power should be restored to the area by 12:30 p.m.

The second outage will take place starting around 12:30 p.m. County Road 223 north of Highway 69 to Valley Grove, from Valley Grove along Old Highway 69 north to County Road 398. Also included in the outage will be County Roads 396, 449, 399 and 395 all in the Valley Grove community, and County Road 248 on Smith Lake.

The exact start time and length of the afternoon outage will be dictated by when the morning outage is complete.

On June 3, beginning at 8:30 a.m., a planned outage will take place along County Road 216 (Glory Hill Road) from Dodge City moving north to County Road 616 (Day Gap Road). Areas that will be affected include Wagon Wheel Estates (County Road 290) as well as County Roads 245, 243, 235, 240 and 242.

The business district of Dodge City will not be affected by any of the outages.
