Applications are now being accepted for the 2010 Cullman Electric Cooperative scholarship and the Electric Cooperative Foundation, Inc., scholarship.
The $1,000 Cullman EC scholarship is awarded to one graduating senior from each high school in the co-op's service area as well as one at-large winner. Cullman EC's scholarship program seeks out those well-rounded students in our service area who are dedicated to making a difference in the world around them.
The $1,000 Electric Cooperative Foundation, Inc., scholarship was created by the electric cooperatives of Alabama in 1997 in an effort to give back to the communities they serve by providing scholarships for post-secondary and vocational education to accredited institutions for qualifying high school seniors.
Applications for both have been given to high school guidance counselors, or can be downloaded from the Cullman EC's web site (look for "College Scholarships" inside the Programs and Services section). The deadline to submit applications for both scholarships is March 12, 2010.
