TAKING PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT EMPLOYEES AND MEMBERS FROM COVID-19 EXPOSURE

Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, the lobbies at both Cullman Electric Cooperative offices are closed to the public until further notice.

As a health precaution for employees and co-op members, Cullman Electric Cooperative is practicing COVID-19 social distancing guidelines recommended by the CDC.

Payments can still be made at the office using the kiosks or at the drive-thru window. As always, payments can also be made online or over the phone.

Small change, big impact: Operation Round Up celebrates giving $5 million to local teachers

No school has been more successful utilizing Operation Round Up than Fairview Elementary. According to ORU records for the time that grant applications have been processed online, four of the top five teachers in total grants approved have come from Fairview.

So, when Operation Round Up reached the $5 million milestone this year, teachers from Fairview were invited to share their success stories at a celebration banquet on March 5, 2020, at Stone Bridge Farms.

83rd Annual Meeting Recap

On a sunny and warm Saturday morning, more than 1,300 Cullman Electric Cooperative members and their guests gathered for the co-op’s 83rd annual meeting, Sept. 14, 2019, at Northbrook Church in Cullman.

More than 400 members were lined up at 8 a.m. and registered within the first 30 minutes. By the time registration closed at 11 a.m., 1,348 co-op members received a $15 bill credit for attending the meeting and entered the grand prize drawing for a 2003 Ford Ranger truck.

ALERT: POWER OUTAGE PLANNED FOR 9 PM TUESDAY (9/10) TVA crews will be here to perform proactive maintenance. The outage will begin at 9 PM on Tuesday and last approximately 5 hours. The communities impacted are those served by the Bremen substation. They are:

Bugtussle
Arkadelphia
Colony
Black Bottoms
Damascus
Southeast side of Smith Lake
